John’s Contract With Minnesota
1. Protect Human Life: God created us in His Image. Human life is precious. It is the primary purpose of government to protect human life, from conception to death by natural causes. I will work with legislators and then campaign statewide to pass a Minnesota constitutional amendment protecting human life.
2. Zero Tolerance on Fraud: Stealing taxpayer money must stop immediately. As Governor, I will aggressively enforce anti-fraud measures, cooperate with federal authorities to seek it out, and fire anyone who allows it. Anyone who steals from taxpayers must be punished.
3. Parental Choice in Education: Parents will have my support as we implement educational options that parents can choose. Public, private, parochial, or homeschools. Governor Krhin will support your choice. Parents will have authority over the curriculum. It’s time to end discrimination against People of Faith in funding educational choice.
4. Supporting Farmers & Loggers: Agriculture and the logging industry are critical elements of a strong state economy. These two segments generate more than $20 billion in economic activity annually. Let’s eliminate unnecessary regulations that limit production while still protecting our ecological systems. We will explore new ways to invest in these industries without creating additional debt.
5. Redesign Healthcare: There is a great deal Minnesota can do here. We will reduce Mega Health Systems’ power to control your private healthcare decisions and build a system in which patients and their personally chosen doctors are in charge. I will establish a commission of marketplace healthcare reformers to create a system that provides access to quality healthcare at a more affordable price.
6. Job Creating Economy: We will reduce overregulation of our businesses and service-providers, reduce state spending to reduce the tax burden, and create a level playing field for all businesses to flourish in Minnesota. Employers are our friends, not our enemies.
7. Support Law Enforcement: Governor Krhin will make responsible law enforcement a priority. Local authorities will cooperate with other Minnesota and federal agencies, to take criminals off our streets. Governor Krhin will promote prosecution of all crimes, not just those politically acceptable to a County Attorney.
8. Secure and Honest Elections: The answer really is simple. Voters must be citizens living in the precinct where they vote. They must present a photo ID to prove it and vote only once. We Republicans must master the opportunities to Get Out the Vote in this election cycle. Once elected, Governor Krhin will campaign vigorously for election reform.
9. Promote Mining: Minnesota is blessed with an abundance of God-created natural resources. Valuable minerals and materials can be mined safely. Creating a vibrant mining economy is a winner for all Minnesotans and our country. The time to mine is now.
10. Energy, as Stewards of Outdoors: God gave humans the responsibility to be stewards of His creation. We can protect and promote clean air, clean water, and produce an abundance of green everywhere. We need access to affordable, clean energy. Governor Krhin will see that restrictions on building nuclear plants will end. He will work with energy producers to create clean, safe nuclear energy, and other emerging clean energy sources.
